Volunteer with the Tennessee Valley Native Plant Nursery and join our efforts to restore native habitat in the Golden Gate National Parks. The Tennessee Valley Nursery grows plants for over a dozen restoration sites in the park from Olema to the Marin Headlands. As a volunteer you will learn about our local native species and the importance of restoration ecology. Activities include invasive plant removal, outplanting (winter season only), transplanting seedlings, pruning, and seed collection.

%newline%This is an on-going volunteer opportunity: 10 AM - Noon and 1 PM - 4 PM, Tuesdays.

%newline%No experience necessary. Training, tools, snacks, and beverages will be provided. *Bring your own lunch if you're staying all day. Please wear clothes that can get dirty, long pants, close-toed shoes, layers for changing weather, rain gear (if necessary), a personal water bottle, and sunscreen.

%newline%Adults, families, groups, and youth ages 15 and up are welcome. With young volunteers, adult chaperones are encouraged. Fulfills community service requirements.(more)
