Seniors Helping SeniorsSENIORS HELPING SENIORS The Metro Atlanta RSVP program, sponsored by ARC, is currently accepting applications for volunteers to help educate older adults about issues that are important for remaining healthy and independent in their communities. Join a force of talented volunteers, age 55 and over, whose members are utilizing their unique life experiences and skills to share messages with older adults on topics such as: how to access needed benefits and services; how to avoid becoming a victim of consumer fraud; disaster preparedness; health & preventive services: Medicare insurance counseling through GeorgiaCares; and computer literacy. RSVP volunteers play a critical role in providing education and outreach in the community so older adults can make informed choices about available services and programs. Metro Atlanta RSVP Volunteer Training Schedule July 14: Access to Services Training August 12, 13, 19: Medicare Insurance Counseling/GeorgiaCares 101 September 16 & 17: Consumer Fraud Training Free training is provided for all volunteers and flexible schedules are available.
