Office AssistanceWednesday, July 29, 2009 - Thursday, December 31, 2009RRC is in need of ongoing or short term administrative assistance at our offices. Our staff are focused on program services and lack administrative support that would help them deliver services to clients more effectively. The types of support that would be helpful include: *receptionist - phone and door *filing - typing labels and organizing files *photocopying - preparing packets for educational workshops *event set up - preparing seating, intake, handouts, presentations for regular workshops *data entry - updating tracking records *mailing - assisting with large mailings These are some examples, but the work that is assigned can be based on the person's skills and interests. Preferably, all volunteers would be able to type accurately and have some basic computer skills.
Lawn Care EquipmentRRC sponsors the R'town Youth Work Team. These teenagers work in the community to clean park space, remove graffiti, assist lower income elderly residents with lawn care, set-up for community events, pick up trash, and assist with community tours. The team needs lawn care equipment, as several pieces have broken due to repeated use. Equipment must be in excellent condition. Shovels, clippers, rakes, gloves, bags, etc.
