The 504-Orion School is a 501(c)3, GAC accredited school located in Midtown Atlanta that fills an educational void for educationally at risk students students ages 5-11 years of age who have severe adhd and accompanying social, emotional and academic struggles. Our students have all previously had negative school experiences. We provide an alternative educational option where students with adhd are able to learn successfully.

%newline%Although our students are often average intelligence their inability to attend, accompanied by a constant need for attention (and in many cases learning disabilities), demands an almost one to one learning situation. To stay engaged and motivated in learning, our impulsive, distractable, inattentive, and hyperactive students require high interest and hands-on learning activities. We remediate any academic deficits using the Orton Gillingham reading approach, Touch Math techniques, the Handwriting Without Tears program, and a Social Skills curriculum. Our students also participate in weekly enrichment as part of the school day including art, music, recreational and occupational therapy, martial arts, yoga, photography, swimming, hiking, and weekly field trips.
