Mr. Ooba's T.E.A.M. a Readers Theatre/short playMr. Ooba’s T.E.A.M. is a play for grades k-4 addressing the issues of bullying of developmentally disabled, medically fragile children, & diversity issues in our classrooms. As a classroom presentation it is mobile & adaptable to many venues & incorporates a talk back to allow young audiences the opportunity to discuss their ideas, feelings & experiences with bullying & diversity. Scripts are also available to groups, schools & arts programs to present as a readers' theatre or play. 1. Mr. Ooba’s TEAM can be presented by 5th graders up to adults to the target audience of K-4. 2. The presentation runs approximately 18 minutes in 1 act. 3. A 10 minutes talk-back/Q & A period after the show is suggested. (Talk back sheets accompany scripts)
Small storage space for costumes and theatre propsNon-profit, student lead theatical and literacy initiative needs a donated storage space in metro Atlanta area to house costumes and theatre props. We only need limited access. Probably 3 times a year. We load in and out and transport ourselves and only our CEO and Managing Director will access.
In work for others, this teen has statureCBT founder, Jordan Schwartz, selected for Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities Organizing Institute In an unprecedented move in selecting a 14 year old, an advisory council of people with disabilities and The Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities selected Jordan Schwartz as one of 6 participants to a two-part Organizing Institute to promote systems change around issues that affect people with disabilities in Georgia and to expand the circle of those involved in those issues beyond the traditional disability community.
