Executive DirectorA unique opportunity for a self-motivated individual looking to make a difference in the lives of children and their families. The Giving Tree, a 12 year old child-placement agency located in Decatur, GA, seeks an Executive Director to lead the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. Primary responsibilities include: • Strategic leadership and direction of long range plans of the Agency • Fund-raising planning, development and implementation • Maintain oversight of official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations. • Oversight and management of personnel • Develop and maintain sound financial practices • Represent the organization and establish relationships with community groups, donors, volunteers, government agencies, and businesses. This is a part-time position with the possibility of future expansion to full-time. The Executive Director will also work closely with the Board of Directors in providing strategic leadership to all aspects of the Agency. Qualifications: Master’s Degree preferred plus 5 years of human services administration or non-profit management experience, demonstrated success in and willingness to assess, plan and lead fund-raising strategies, entrepreneurial drive & strong communication skills.
