Substitute Teacher ProgramA free, professional early learning substitute teacher program developed to provide qualified, caring teachers to work with young children when their regular teachers are out. The United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta / Smart Start training program will be offered in Austell, September 14-18, 2009 from 8:30 am—3:30 pm for Cobb and surrounding counties. Full attendance is required to complete the course & receive 18 Bright from the Start state approved hrs Prepared substitutes will be asked to substitute a minimum of four times per month. Substitute teacher commitments can vary from full to half days and YOU can choose the days of the week and the child care programs you are willing to offer your support! Our FUN, FREE, PROFESSIONAL 5-day course from United Way of Metro Atlanta�s Early Childhood Division provides theory and practical knowledge about young children, and how to support them in Early Education and Learning programs. Graduates receive a high quality educational experience, 18 state approved credit hours, CPR & first aid card, lunch and so much more.
